E-mail Coach Callahan

Women's Head Basketball Coach

Coach Callahan brings 15 years of experience at the college and high school level to his first year at NCU. He comes to NCU after coaching and teaching at New Life Academy in Woodbury, Minnesota. While at New Life he led the Girls Basketball team to a 54-8 overall record from 2006-2008, including a 3rd place finish at the Minnesota State Tournament.

Prior to coaching at New Life Callahan enjoyed a successful stint at Trinity International University (Deerfield, Ill.) from 2003-2006. In 2005 TIU earned its first winning season in ten years and claimed only the fourth 20-win season in program history while finishing fifth at the NCCAA DI Women's Basketball National Championship Tournament. Coach Callahan's 47 wins at TIU are second most by any coach in program history.

With experience in youth ministry and also as a Resident Director, Callahan plans to invest in the lives of his student athletes through the game of basketball but also as mentor and teacher. "I feel its my calling to work with athletes and I'm not just worried about the games on our schedule. I am focused on life away from basketball as well." Callahan added.

Callahan is a 1992 graduate of Southwest Missour State University with a B.S. in Communications. He is married and lives with his wife and three daughters in Cottage Grove, Minnesota.
