Bethany Burkman (Maple Grove, Minn./Maple Grove) was selected by the coaches of the NCCAA DII as first team all-American defender after her senior year in which she led North Central University to their fourth straight NCCAA Division II North Central Region Championship. Burkman was the 2009 NCCAA Region MVP but missed large portions of the 2010 season with injury. However, she returned to the squad healthy in 2011, captaining the team to a program best fourth place final national finish at the NCCAA DII Women’s Soccer National Championship Tournament. Burkman is just the second first team NCCAA/NSCAA All-American in NCU Women’s Soccer history.
