Junior Catherine Mead captured the 2009 NCCAA DII Women's Cross Country Individual National Championship by breaking the NCU school record for 5000 meters by over 30 seconds. She covered the NCCAA Nationals course in 19:28 making her the fastest NCU runner in history at both 5k and 6000 meters.
