Rams Run to Fourth Place at Beloit College

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn.-- North Central University Women's Cross Country turned in a great team performance to take fourth place at the Beloit College English Style Meet on Saturday. The Rams were led by Annalise Schroeder who took sixth place overall in the field of over 120 runners. 

North Central got career personal bests from four of its top five who each placed in the top 20 individually. Freshmen Annalise Schroeder (Readfield, Wis./New London) and Jacie Jawaski (Breckenridge, Minn./Breckenridge) and senior Meghan Smith (Osceola, Wis./St. Croix Falls) each turned in their career best 5k times to place 6th, 17th and 19th respectively.

Sophomore Amanda Schexneider (Elisabethtown, Ky./Elisabethtown) and senior Bethany Bostron (Spicer, Minn./Bostron Academy) were 33rd and 37th overall to complete the scoring five for NCU.

Sophomore Rachel Hovland (Mora, Minn./Mora) and junior Kara Montanez (Carrollton, Ill./Carrollton) were 37th and 49th as the NCU displacement scorers.

The Rams will be off this weekend before returning to action on October 13 at the Martin Luther College Invitational at Flandrau State Park (New Ulm, Minn.) which serves as a preview for the 2012 Upper Midwest Athletic Conference Championship. The women's race begins at 11 a.m.

MLC and the UMAC will host the conference championship meet on October 27.
