Rams Led by Weyer's Top Five Finish at Northwestern Invite

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn.-- North Central University women's golf is in just its second season of competition but the Rams are being led by Tera Weyer who has earned three top five finishes in her first three college matches.

Tuesday's Northwestern College Invitational was played at The Ridges of Sand Creek (Jordan, Minn.) and featured four schools. Freshman Tera Weyer (Staples, Minn./Staples-Motley) earned a fourth place tie in the individual standings on a hot and windy September day.

Weyer had captured medalist honors in her first two college golf matches including the NCU Invitational on August 31 at Eagles Landing Golf Course (Baxter, Minn.) and then the next day at the UMAC Preview Meet played at Deacons Lodge (Breezy Point, Minn.)

Sophomore Mickal Sayler (Beulah, N.D./Beulah) was 14th overall for the Rams.

NCU will go back to pratice for a few weeks before getting back to competition on September 21 at the Viking Invitational hosted by Bethany Lutheran College (Mankato, Minn.) at Interlaken Golf Club (Fairmont, Minn.). Tee time is scheduled for 12:30 p.m.
