MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. North Central was well represented on the NCCAA Division I All-Region Women's Softball team. This marks the first time in program history that multiple players were named to the all-region team.
Junior center fielder Elisabeth Trickey (Waseca, Minn.) was the fourth highest vote recipient in the region and was the Rams top finisher in the standings. Trickey led all of NCCAA Division I in batting average, on base percentage, hits per game and steals per game while coming in third in runs per game.
Sophomore shortstop Hannah Gordon (Boise, Idaho) received the eighth most all region votes to earn her first career all region award. Gordon was 15th in hits per game and 20th in steals per game nationally in the NCCAA.
Senior pitcher Danielle Anderson (Aurora, Minn.) was named to the all region team with the tenth most votes. While being one of the top pitchers in the region Anderson was also 11th in the NCCAA nationally in RBI per game.
The Rams wrapped up their season at the NCCAA Division Region Tournament with a pair of tough losses to Judson College on April 27.
