Rams Show Progess at Blugold Invitational

COLFAX, Wis.-- North Central University Men's Cross Country was in action on Friday afternoon at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Blugold Invitational on Friday. The team showed improvement as they head towards the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference Championships at the end of October.

The Rams finished 17th as a team and were led by sophomore Sutton Rehwaldt (Burnsville, Minn./Burnsville) who finished 106th in the team scoring standings. His time of 29:41.96 was an improvement of almost 40 seconds over his previous best on the same course during his freshman year.

Sophomore Jake Guttormson (Pine City, Minn./Pine City) also showed huge improvement running in the second spot for North Central. Guttormson improved by well over two minutes from his freshman year by running a 30:05.46 which is also a career 8k personal best by over 90 seconds.

The Rams will be back in action next Saturday as they travel to the Beloit College (Beloit, Wis.) English Style Cross Country Meet. The men's race is scheduled for Noon.
