Rams Women's Basketball Powers Past Eagles for Road Victory

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn.-- North Central Women's Basketball used a strong first half defensive performance to earn a 56-47 victory over Faith Baptist Bible College in Ankeny on Saturday afternoon. NCU held Faith to 17 first half points and notched 11 steals in the game to stifle an Eagles team that had won six straight coming into the game.

 

NCU got a career best performance from freshman Elisabeth Trickey (Waseca, Minn.) who scored a game high 18 points and collected 6 steals dispite only playing 28 minutes after being saddled with three first half fouls. Trickey recorded several decisive steals and breakaway lay-ups that put the game out of reach. Freshman Hope Sevlie (Red Wing, Minn.) added 14 points and 7 rebounds. Freshman Christina Goodman (Minnetonka, Minn.)pulled down a game and career high 13 rebounds.

 

North Central returns to action tomorrow night with a 5:30 pm home tip-off verses Northwestern College (St. Paul, Minn.). The Rams also host Martin Luther College (New Ulm, Minn.) and Presentation College (Aberdeen, S.D.) on Thursday and Friday evening with both games tipping off at 5:30 pm.
