Coach Hutton serves as NCU’s Swing Coach and is a former NCAA Division I golfer at the University of Minnesota and Stephen F. Austin University (Nacogdoches, Texas). With a Big Ten championship and experience as member of a team that was ranked Number 1 in the country, Coach Hutton is a huge part of taking players from good to great.
More than his passion for golf, however, Coach Hutton has a drive to develop players off the course as well. His commitment to off the course mentoring and challenging players to apply golf’s lessons to life, has made him a valuable part of the coaching staff.
Coach Hutton has experience as an instructor at Totally Driven Golf, an indoor state of the art golf training facility located in St. Paul, specializing in preparing recruiting materials for athletes for seeking a spot in collegiate golf programs. He has tutored underneath Top 100 Instructor Chuck Evans. Evans is one of only 31 teachers in the world to hold the designation of "Doctorate in Golf Stroke Engineering". Coach Hutton also worked under John Means, former President of the Golf Coaches Association of America, and Lee Deitrick, Master Instructor in the Golfing Machine. He has served as an instructor for John Means Golf Camps and camps run by the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.
Hutton works full time as the Athletics Recruiting Coordinator at NCU. He and his wife Amber currently reside Minneapolis.
