Ryan Wendorf was born in Racine, WI where he started playing soccer at the age of 8. He played soccer through high school until injuries kept him from his senior season. After high school Coach Ryan attended a technical school where he earned a degree in Electrical Engineering. In 2004, he moved to the Twin Cities to study Youth Ministry at North Central where he played soccer for 4 years. His coaching career began in 2007 when he started coaching for Urban Ventures. It was then that he realized his passion for coaching and working with youth in a sports setting. Regarding why he coaches for NCU, Coach Ryan said, “I want to see the players I coach mature and develop into great players who show respect to themselves, their opponents, and the game.”
Additionally, Ryan loves English Premier League soccer and watching Arsenal dominate! He currently lives in Minneapolis with his wife Rachel and hopefully soon a new dog!
