The 2010 season will be George Carr’s first year as an assistant coach at the collegiate level. Prior to coaching at North Central, George spent a total of five years coaching for Urban Stars and Cruz Azul at the youth club level. He currently holds a USSF ‘E’ coaching license and will be pursuing his ‘D’ license during 2010-11.
George grew up playing for St. Croix Soccer Club and eventually went on to play at Stillwater High School where he graduated in 2003. George then became a member of the North Central men’s team where he played from 2003 – 2007 while earning a BS in Business Administration. Since graduating from NCU he has stayed active in competitive and recreational soccer leagues in Minnesota.
Like Coach Ryan Wendorf, George enjoys watching English Premier League football and is a diehard Arsenal supporter. George is engaged to his fiancé Ali, and will be married Spring 2010.
